A 34-year-old man was fatally shot late Monday evening in a south Indianapolis apartment complex, prompting an ongoing investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD). WTHR reports the shooting occurred around 11:15 p.m. in the 3300 block of Laurel Street. Police arriving at the scene found the victim, later identified as Andrece Dejuan Tigner, inside a residence with a fatal gunshot wound.
The Marion County Coroner's Office confirmed Tigner's identity the following day. While details are limited, no suspect information has been publicly released, nor has a motive been determined, the IMPD has not yet provided any updates on a suspect or potential motives for the shooting. IMPD Southeast District officers responded to reports of a person shot at the aforementioned location and, upon arrival, discovered Tigner with life-threatening injuries. His death was pronounced at the scene, as noted by WIBC.
