The burgeoning Fishers District is piling on the attractions with a new double-decker dining experience, brought to you by the Cunningham Restaurant Group (CRG). This Indianapolis-based heavyweight has inked a lease for a prime two-story spot at The Union at Fishers District. According to a Fishers government announcement, the plan includes a swanky fine-dining restaurant upstairs and a smaller, more casual bar featuring small plates downstairs. Details for this culinary adventure are being cooked up and are said to be tailored specifically for Fishers locals and CRG's eclectic portfolio.
Meanwhile, health-forward eatery Flower Child is plotting to sprinkle a bit more of its fresh, customizable food magic in the area. Their second Indiana outpost will spread across 3,500 square feet of a freestanding building at The Union. Developer Thompson Thrift shared tidbits on other fresh faces joining the mix, including the dessert haven Dot Sugar and The Oakmont, bringing its craft cocktails and sizable food menu from Mass Ave to the Fishers District, as per the city's announcement.
The Union continues to add new tenants, including restaurants such as Piedra, Kitchen Social, Niku Sushi, and Everbowl. Recent openings in the mixed-use development also include Racha Thai, Renova Aesthetics, and Sweathouz. Only a few retail and restaurant spaces remain available ahead of the planned third-quarter opening.
Thompson Thrift has been developing the 123-acre Fishers District since 2015, with The Union serving as one of five projects within the larger plan. The development includes The Union Flats, a 250-unit apartment community, a 135-room AC Hotel by Marriott with structured parking, and approximately 70,000 square feet of office space.
