The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has lowered the speed limit on State Road 45/46 in Bloomington from 45 mph to 40 mph between Kinser Pike and 10th Street. According to a City of Bloomington Facebook post, the change is intended to improve safety for drivers and pedestrians.
New signage reflecting the speed limit is being installed. City officials advised drivers to stay alert, follow the updated speed limit, and exercise caution, particularly in work zones.
