Caught in the mix of law enforcement activities, disabled or abandoned vehicles weren't far behind, numbering at 656, suggesting a high volume of motorists experiencing vehicle trouble or disregarding the disposal of their automobiles.
In addition to law enforcement duties, the sheriff's deputies have been instrumental in serving court papers with 3,120 subpoenas delivered and 166 protective orders served throughout the year. Arrest rates also illustrate an active crime mitigation effort, with 924 apprehensions made across the county.
