In what can only be described as a dismaying case of déjà vu, the St. George Police Department reported two separate traffic incidents due to careless driving on the same day, with the latter occurring at a busy intersection. According to a social media post by the St. George Police Department, a white Infinity was traveling at a high speed towards the southbound lane on Bluff Street and failed to properly make the turn onto Sunset Blvd.
The vehicle, in its misguided path, crossed the median and collided with two northbound vehicles. The Infinity continued its wayward journey north on Bluff Street, coming to a stop just beyond the intersection in question. This sequence of events led to a significant slowdown in traffic, as lanes were closed to manage the aftermath of the accident. The St. George Police Department, on a social media post, pleaded, "for the second time today pleading with you as drivers to make those choices behind the will that keep you and everyone else on the road safe," emphasizing the importance of obeying speed limits.
Fortuitously, the incident did not result in any injuries, an outcome that might be considered miraculous given the potential for harm that such a collision entails. Nonetheless, the police used the opportunity to remind the public about the consequences of reckless driving and the collective responsibility that comes with vehicle operation.
