Commuters on US 31 South near 116th Street experienced delays yesterday after a tractor trailer became disabled and blocked the roadway. The Carmel Police Department reported on Facebook that the two right lanes were closed and advised drivers to use alternate routes.
Authorities and emergency services responded to clear the lanes and restore traffic. The Carmel Police Department later confirmed that the roadway had reopened and traffic returned to normal.
The cause of the tractor trailer’s disabled condition has not been released.
