A residential structure fire broke out on Timberline Drive in the Grassland area, drawing a coordinated response from multiple fire departments in Williamson County yesterday morning. According to the press release, the fire was first reported by a neighbor who noticed heavy smoke billowing from a home at approximately 9:23 a.m., resulting in the dispatch of Station 22, as reported by Williamson County Fire/Rescue on their social media.

The homeowners were not present during the incident, having vacated their residence the night before due to a power outage in the area, opting to stay at a hotel instead. Arriving units were greeted with the sight of intense flames and smoke emanating from the rear of the house. Firefighting efforts were complicated by icy conditions on the roads, which posed significant challenges to the responding teams.

Williamson County Fire/Rescue disclosed that units from Franklin Fire, Fairview Fire, Arrington Fire, and Williamson County EMA were called in to assist with the operation. In total, 35 firefighters were present at the scene, supported by the Box 94 Rehab Unit, a component critical for fire suppression aid and providing rehabilitation for personnel. Despite the hurdles, teamwork was evident as the departments worked to control the blaze.

While the firefighters valiantly battled the fire, the cause remains a mystery and under investigation as of now. "We are thankful for our partners who helped keep the scene safe," emphasized the gratitude expressed in Williamson County Fire/Rescue’s social media post. The department also included photos from both their team and the Franklin Fire Department to illustrate the incident.
