
Malik Proctor Vasquez, an 18-year-old Arlington resident, has been arrested in connection to a shots fired incident from December last year. He faces charges including Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle, Reckless Handling of a Firearm, and Carrying a Concealed Firearm, as reported by the Arlington County Police Department.
The incident took place in the Radnor/Ft. Myer Heights neighborhood on December 27, 2025. At approximately 12:42 p.m., an on-duty officer patrolling the area heard gunshots. Investigation at the scene, specifically around 13th Street N. and N. Taft Street, confirmed that multiple shots had been fired. Evidence indicated that a male suspect approached a parked vehicle, discharged a firearm, and then fled on foot, an occupant of the vehicle responded with gunfire before driving away. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the altercation, as detailed by the Arlington County Police Department.
Following a comprehensive investigation by the Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit, Malik Proctor Vasquez was identified as the suspect who approached the vehicle on foot. On the evening of February 19, 2026, Vasquez was apprehended without incident in the 1200 block of N. Scott Street.
