A Tuesday night at the Blackburn Terrace apartments on Indianapolis’ northeast side turned violent when two young men were shot in separate incidents at the complex, police said. One victim was reported in stable condition after treatment, while the other was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
Officers responded to the more serious shooting in the 3000 block of Baltimore Avenue around 7:15 p.m., where they found a man with gunshot wounds in the parking lot and transported him to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition. Investigators said the man had come to the complex and was talking with another person when that person pulled out a gun and shot him, and no weapon was recovered at the scene. No arrests or suspect descriptions had been released as detectives continued their work, according to WTHR.
First Call Came Near 32nd Street And Brouse Avenue
Earlier in the evening, officers were called to the area of 32nd Street and Brouse Avenue inside the same Blackburn Terrace complex. There, they found a younger adult male who was treated and described as stable. Indianapolis police said they are investigating whether the two shootings are connected and whether the victims knew one another or were together when either incident occurred. Investigators Ask Witnesses To Come Forward
