
Two lives were abruptly ended in a shooting early Sunday morning on the near southeast side of Indianapolis. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire at around 5:47 a.m. in the 2700 block of Barrington Avenue. At the scene, they discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds; two of whom did not survive.
The location, between Renton and East Minnesota streets, became a grim tableau as the investigation quickly unfolded. According to WTHR, officers arrived just before 6 a.m. and pronounced two victims dead at the scene. A third individual connected to the incident was reportedly uninjured.
No immediate details about a suspect or a motive for the shooting have been released. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department continues to investigate the events that led to these deaths.
