Investigation Underway
Officer-involved shootings in Indianapolis are typically reviewed by IMPD’s Critical Incident Response Team and can also draw in the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. Earlier local reporting has outlined that officers who fire their weapons are usually subject to both criminal and internal administrative reviews; WRTV has previously detailed those steps in past cases.
Anyone with information about Saturday’s incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-TIPS (8477), WTHR reports. This story will be updated as IMPD or prosecutors release additional details.
