The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reports that its Overdose Death Task Force has arrested in a case of a fatal overdose that occurred in September last year. Kameron Tinnin, 29, is now facing charges for allegedly providing the drugs that resulted in the death of an adult male found lifeless in an apartment on the 8700 block of Old Town W Dr.

Responding to a call on September 30, 2025, IMPD officers discovered the victim and collected evidence pointing to an overdose as the cause of death. As part of the ongoing investigation, the Overdose Death Task Force, along with several partner agencies, including the DEA and Indiana State Police, executed a search warrant last November. The search of Tinnin’s property yielded half an ounce of suspected fentanyl, 10 grams of cocaine, 2lbs of marijuana, numerous pills, $2,700 in cash, drug paraphernalia, and four firearms, as stated in a social media post from IMPD News.

Tinnin was initially arrested for obstruction of justice and multiple drug dealing charges. Further evidence on the overdose case led to an additional warrant for his arrest on Tuesday, with the specific charge of dealing in a controlled substance resulting in death.

With support from the US Marshals Task Force, Tinnin was apprehended again two days after the warrant was issued. Despite the severity of the accusations, it is important to remember that an arrest and a charge are merely that, accusations. Tinnin is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, as highlighted by IMPD News. The case number associated with Tinnin’s arrest is IP250085796.
