What We Know So Far About The Case
The department’s public statement does not say whether anyone was hurt in the Jackson Avenue shots-fired run, and it does not list booking information or court dates for either person arrested. Police say the investigation is still active and that additional details will be released when they are ready, per the department’s Facebook post.
Jackson Avenue’s Ongoing Gunfire Problem
Gunfire calls have been a recurring issue in parts of Evansville, including stretches of Jackson Avenue and the south side. Last November, officers responded to multiple shots-fired runs in the Jackson Avenue area and asked neighbors to check their cameras and share any relevant footage, as reported by 14News. That report also listed the EPD Adult Investigations Unit at (812) 436-7979 and the department tip line at (812) 435-6194 as contacts for information.
Police are again urging anyone with details or video tied to the Jackson Avenue investigation to reach out to EPD’s Adult Investigations Unit or call the department’s tip line. This story will be updated as investigators release more information.
