
The Plainfield Police Department recently announced a significant narcotics bust via a social media post, which resulted in the seizure of various drugs and the arrest of three individuals in Plainfield. According to the department's Facebook page, day shift officers observed a vehicle carrying the three suspects exhibiting what was deemed suspicious behavior in a residential neighborhood.
During the ensuing investigation, which included the assistance of a K-9 officer, police found multiple controlled substances ranging from LSD, heroin, and methamphetamine to marijuana, alongside numerous syringes. Per the Plainfield Police Department, the three individuals were apprehended and face preliminary charges that include possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of marijuana, possession of a syringe, and possession of paraphernalia.
The Plainfield Police Department praised the operation for showcasing the officers’ professionalism and teamwork. “our officers, whose attentiveness and teamwork—bolstered by the effective deployment of our K-9 unit—directly contributed to protecting the Plainfield community from these harmful substances,” the Plainfield Police Department's Post.
In the same update, the Plainfield Police Department reaffirmed its dedication to public safety, stating they serve around the clock to respond to calls for service, enforcing traffic laws, concluding investigations making arrests, and assisting residents during times of crisis. They also emphasized their gratitude for the bond they share with the community. It was also noted, as a reminder that in the American justice system, the arrested individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty by the courts.
