State Rep. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle) introduced Pastor Mark Wingler of Cloverdale Christian Church as Minister of the Day last Thursday. Wingler delivered the opening invocation in the House chamber before legislative business began. The House regularly opens its sessions with a prayer.
According to the Indiana House Republicans website, Baird’s office is inviting local clergy from House District 44 to serve as Minister of the Day. The role is open to pastors, rabbis, reverends, and other faith leaders. Those interested can contact Baird’s office through his website or by phone.
