Authorities have arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred last June in Northeast Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department reported that on June 2, 2025, around 7:52 p.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of Raum Street NE, where they found 33-year-old Kalil Jerald Brown with multiple gunshot wounds. Brown later died at the hospital.
A D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant was issued yesterday, 28-year-old Javonte Robinson of Glen Burnie, MD, was taken into custody by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. Robinson is charged with first-degree murder while armed (premeditated).
The legal process for the case is ongoing.
