
In the early morning hours of December 21, 2025, Fort Wayne Police were called to the scene of a fatal shooting at Fairfield Ave and W. Paulding Rd. The incident left one man, Andraias Curry, dead from multiple gunshot wounds. According to a statement released by the Fort Wayne Police Department, emergency responders attempted to save Curry's life, but he was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene.
Following an investigation led by the FWPD Homicide Detectives, two suspects have now been apprehended. Xzavier Sanders, a 28-year-old man, was already in custody at the Allen County Jail on an unrelated probation violation. Detectives managed to also preliminarily charge him with Murder and Attempted Murder related to Curry's death. Damiah Jackson-Sanders, aged 23, has been taken into custody as well, after being located and arrested without incident in the 600 block E. Jefferson Blvd. Jackson-Sanders has been preliminarily charged with Conspiracy to commit Murder and Conspiracy to commit Attempted Murder, as per the same Fort Wayne Police Department statement.
Fort Wayne mourns the loss of Andraias Curry as Xzavier Sanders and Damiah Jackson-Sanders remain in Allen County Jail pending further legal action. The Fort Wayne Police Department urges anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist the investigation.
