Valentine’s Day ended in sirens instead of roses for part of Frayser, after a man was shot in the 3100 block of Madewell Drive in Memphis and taken to a hospital in non‑critical condition, police said. Investigators say the case remains open, and no arrests have been announced.
Police Release Footage of Person of Interest
According to WREG, Memphis police shared surveillance video that shows a male wearing a black hoodie with white lettering, light‑colored pants, and black shoes. He was last seen walking through the Northgate Shopping Center. Police confirmed the male victim was transported to a hospital in non‑critical condition. The footage, credited to the Memphis Police Department, is being circulated in hopes someone will recognize the man in the clip.

The Valentine’s Day shooting is the latest in a string of violent incidents in Frayser this winter. WMC Action News 5 reported a drive‑by at the Greenbriar Apartments near Madewell Street and Dellwood Avenue on Feb. 16 that left a woman and a child injured. In recent months, multiple shootings in the neighborhood have also been documented.
