A shooting on Indianapolis' near northeast side left one person injured Monday night, according to police. Officers were called to the 3200 block of Baltimore Avenue, near East 30th Street and North Keystone Avenue, at about 9 p.m. and found one person who had been shot. The victim was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition, police said.
IMPD confirmed the details to WTHR, saying officers located the injured person after responding to the scene and opened an investigation. The department did not release any suspect information or a possible motive at the time of the report.
Scene and local pattern
The shooting adds to a troubling pattern along Baltimore Avenue on Indy’s near northeast and north sides, where several recent incidents have been reported. WRTV has documented prior fatal and nonfatal cases along the corridor, and a November 2025 shooting in the same general stretch of Baltimore Avenue was also part of that ongoing coverage.
