A tense midday scare at Juab High School and Juab Junior High in Nephi ended without injuries on Tuesday after staff reported a suspicious person on school property, triggering a lockdown and a rapid law enforcement response. The individual was taken into custody, the lockdown was lifted, and classes resumed later that afternoon.

According to the Juab County School District, administrators moved quickly to activate safety protocols as soon as the person was spotted and immediately contacted law enforcement. Officers arrived just after 12:45 p.m. and detained the individual. No students or staff were harmed, and normal class schedules picked back up that afternoon, as reported by KUTV.
