A 44-year-old man was shot and killed Friday morning while sitting in his car near a strip mall on Chicago’s South Side, authorities said. The shooting happened in the 1600 block of East 95th Street and left the man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the University of Chicago hospital, where he later died.
According to CBS Chicago, police say someone walked up to the vehicle and opened fire. Officials have not yet identified the victim. The outlet reports that no arrests had been made as of Friday and that Area Two detectives are handling the investigation.
