Meridian Street, bringing tabletop teppanyaki shows and a full sushi bar to the block just north of Monument Circle. The new location joins Harmony's Whitestown and Greenwood spots and is clearly aiming at the crowds pouring out of nearby hotels and conventions, promising a dinner-and-a-show built around hibachi tables and a broad sushi lineup.
New Tenant In A Rebuilt Tower
The downtown restaurant fills first-floor space in the 220 N. Meridian building, a converted office tower that Indianapolis Business Journal reported is being remade into apartments and retail. The outlet noted that Harmony would occupy about 7,550 square feet inside and add roughly 1,200 square feet of patio space. The arrival counts as one of the larger retail signings in that redevelopment, the Business Journal reported, putting a high-energy restaurant at street level in the former AT&T tower.
Hibachi, Sushi And Signature Cuts
On the menu, Harmony's downtown outpost runs the gamut from prime cuts to rolls and shareables. Diners will find ribeye, filet mignon and sirloin, plus hibachi combinations and a full sushi roster that includes a Hawaiian roll and a Monster roll, according to WISH-TV. The station also highlights sides like rock shrimp and Brussels sprouts finished with a house sweet-soy glaze, and notes that the kitchen leans on freshly grated wasabi instead of the powdered stuff. Many dishes are cooked on open grills that double as a stage for the chefs, creating that classic hibachi spectacle.
