A predawn shooting left a man dead early Thursday in the Brighton Park neighborhood on Chicago's Southwest Side, after officers found him lying outside with multiple gunshot wounds.
What police said
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, officers discovered the unidentified man about 4:15 a.m. in the 3100 block of West 39th Place. Investigators said he had been shot several times in the head and torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and police reported that no one else was hurt.
