
One person was hospitalized after a possible shooting in northwest Miami-Dade on Wednesday evening, according to authorities. Deputies and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue converged on the Gladeview neighborhood near NW 73rd Street and NW 29th Avenue, where crews found a trauma patient. Aerial footage from Chopper 4 showed deputies zeroing in on a trailer home and a stretch of pavement stained with blood.
Officials have not released the victim’s condition or said whether any arrests have been made.
According to CBS News Miami, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue confirmed they received a medical call tied to a possible shooting and that “a patient was transported by ground to the trauma center.” The station reported deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office were on scene investigating the residence. Gladeview Has Seen Other Recent Shootings
The Gladeview area has been the scene of multiple gun incidents in recent months, underscoring ongoing public-safety concerns. Local 10 reported a triple shooting in mid-April that sent several victims to Jackson Memorial’s Ryder Trauma Center. A predawn Gladeview shootout in February left three people wounded, part of a string of episodes that has kept deputies busy in the small, unincorporated community.
