They are pitching the project as a direct response to rising case loads and rapid population growth across the county.

As reported by YouAreCurrent, the three-story addition will add at least 100,000 square feet to the Judicial Center, including seven new courtrooms, a second jury assembly room and a new plaza with public restrooms. American Structurepoint's project listing describes the work as a lower level plus three upper shell-and-core floors totaling roughly 130,000 square feet.
Timeline and schedule
According to Hamilton County News, the county scheduled the groundbreaking for May 11 and says construction crews hope to wrap up by late 2027. A Hamilton County Facebook reel shared during Monday's ceremony, however, pointed to a later, late-2028 completion date, a gap county officials attribute to phased buildouts and evolving schedules.
Why the county says it matters
County leaders and judges say the added space is meant to ease some of the heaviest caseloads in Indiana and create room for newly authorized judicial officers. Officials say they are working closely with the City of Noblesville so construction at the Judicial Center does not pile on top of other major downtown efforts, including the Embrace Downtown and Pleasant Street projects.
