Indianapolis detectives are working to untangle what led to a shooting on the city's east side that left one person hurt on April 3. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition while investigators fanned out to collect shell casings, surveillance footage, and witness statements.
According to WTHR, officers were called just after 5:10 p.m. to the 4400 block of East Washington Street on a report of a person shot. IMPD told the station the wounded individual was transported to a local hospital and that the case remains an active investigation.
