The Yard at Fishers District cantina closed briefly at the end of May for minor renovations, then reopened with a tweaked look and lineup that leans into coastal flavors and a stronger spirits program.
Sangrita laid out the news in a May 25 announcement, noting that the Fishers spot "will join the Upland Hospitality family" and confirming that Josh Ratliff, the operator behind BlackSheep Craft Pizza & Cocktails, is steering the transition, according to Sangrita Grill & Cantina.
The ownership change also landed on regional business radar when it was reported May 26 by the Indianapolis Business Journal, which highlighted the acquisition for its readers.

Between Upland's own notes and Sangrita's announcement, the refresh centers on adjusted food offerings and a deeper tequila and mezcal selection. Ratliff summed up the concept by saying, "We're taking Sangrita to the coast - beachside grill and cevicherías," and the relaunch puts an "80-bottle tequila and mezcal program" front and center, according to Sangrita Grill & Cantina.
