A Vallejo woman was killed on Wednesday after she was hit by a passing vehicle while riding a scooter on Sonoma Boulevard near Kentucky Street, authorities said. Police report she lost control of the scooter, fell into the northbound lanes and was struck. She was taken to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
According to the Vallejo Police Department, its communications center received the call at about 1:49 PM. The victim was an adult woman operating the scooter at the time of the collision. The Solano County Sheriff’s Coroner responded and took custody of her body, and officials are withholding her identity until next of kin are formally notified.
Police said the driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol and controlled substances do not appear to be factors in the crash. This marks the seventh fatal traffic collision Vallejo police have investigated in 2026, according to the Vallejo Police Department.
