Graeter's Ice Cream is getting ready to serve its first cones in Zionsville, marking the debut of the brand’s inaugural scoop shop in town next Wednesday (June 3). The new location at Sylo Crossing, near the U.S. 421 and Sycamore Street intersection, will celebrate with a midday ribbon cutting before rolling into evening hours for the summer crowd. Set up for quick walk in orders as well as patio hangouts, the spot is aiming to be a go to stop for both neighborhood families and commuters.
Grand opening details
The public grand opening is scheduled for next Wednesday from about 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a ribbon cutting ceremony planned for noon, according to WTHR. As WTHR reports, this will be Graeter’s first store in Zionsville, and the shop is expected to open for regular service after the ceremony wraps.
Location, hours and what’s on the menu
Graeter's official store page lists the address as 11822 Sylo Crossing Unit 601 and notes that the shop includes dine in seating, a patio and the brand’s full lineup of ice cream, frozen drinks and sundaes, according to Graeter's. The same page provides the store’s phone number along with a day by day breakdown of operating hours for anyone planning a visit.
Graeter's in central Indiana
The new Zionsville shop joins existing Graeter's locations in the Indianapolis area, including Butler Tarkington, Carmel, Westfield and Fishers, expanding the company’s regional footprint, the local report notes. That means Zionsville residents now have another nearby option for the brand’s locally made pints and its well known oversized chocolate chunks.
Before you go
On its site, Graeter's also points to community focused events and loyalty perks, such as seasonal "Dog's Night Out" gatherings and its Sweet Rewards program, which lists the Zionsville store as a participating location, per Graeter's. Anyone heading to opening day is encouraged to call the shop or check that scoop shop page for the most current hours and any special offerings tied to the launch.
