A man was seriously injured Thursday afternoon when shots rang out near Elmwood Cemetery in Memphis, according to police. Officers found the victim on Ioka Avenue and he was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Officers were dispatched just before 2:30 p.m. after a shooting call on Ioka Avenue near the historic cemetery, the Memphis Police Department told FOX13 Memphis. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from serious wounds and had him transported to a local hospital. Detectives say the investigation remains active and no suspect has been identified.
