Honeybee Coffee has buzzed into Bearden, quietly opening a new café at 4520 Old Kingston Pike that marks the Knoxville roaster's third location in the city.
According to the Knoxville News Sentinel, the company announced the Bearden opening on social media last Saturday. The new spot is listed with hours of 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends, and the paper notes that the Old Kingston Pike storefront is Honeybee's third Knoxville outpost.
Where Honeybee Comes From
The roaster says it began as a catering operation in 2014 and opened its first café in 2017, according to Honeybee Coffee Co.. Local listings show the South Knoxville café at 700 Sevier Avenue, a spot that has grown into a neighborhood staple over the years. Tripadvisor also lists that Sevier Avenue address.
Expansion And Ownership
Honeybee later expanded west with a Kingston Pike and Farragut location, tracked in local reporting at 10716 Kingston Pike. Farragut Press covered that expansion and the shop's temporary closures, while the Knoxville News Sentinel has summarized more recent developments involving the brand's ownership.
Bearden's Kingston Pike Scene
The Kingston Pike corridor through Bearden has evolved into a tight cluster of neighborhood dining, bars and small retailers, and Honeybee's arrival adds another roaster-focused option to that lineup. The Old Kingston Pike storefront is positioned to catch both weekday commuters and weekend shoppers looking to keep their coffee runs local.
Practical Details
The Bearden shop is expected to serve the company's house-roasted coffees alongside pastries and grab-and-go café fare, and Honeybee continues to operate its subscription and wholesale program. For hours, menus and updates, see the Honeybee Coffee Co. website.
