According to an automated dispatch log, officers were called shortly after 10:15 p.m. to a residence in the 8000 block of East 37th Street. Roughly 10 minutes later, emergency medical crews were dispatched on a report of a gunshot, as reported by WISH‑TV.
In a post on X, IMPD said officers were on scene and described the situation as a “critical incident” in the 8000 block of East 37th Street. The department did not share any additional information about injuries, potential arrests or a possible motive.
