Humidity levels should gradually improve as dew points fall back into the 60s, bringing several days of more comfortable summer weather. No watches or warnings are in effect for the Nashville area.
Thursday Offers A Small Cooldown
Thursday will stay sunny, but the high should ease to about 89 degrees, followed by a mostly clear night with a low near 66. Friday will turn mostly sunny again with a high around 92. The next rain chance arrives late Friday night into Saturday morning, when showers and thunderstorms become likely.
Wet Weekend Takes Shape
Saturday currently looks like the soggiest day of the weekend, with a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high near 89. Southwest winds may gust as high as 25 mph, so loose outdoor items could need securing before storms arrive. More showers and thunderstorms are likely Saturday night, while Sunday brings partly sunny skies, a cooler high near 86 and a 40% rain chance.
Storm Chances Continue Into Next Week
Sunday night, Monday and Tuesday all carry additional chances for showers and thunderstorms, generally ranging from 40% to 50%. Forecasters are not currently seeing a strong signal for severe weather, but weekend storms could still bring lightning, brief heavy rain and gusty winds. For now, Nashville gets a few useful dry days before the umbrellas come back out.
