A man was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound after a shooting broke out near a business in the 900 block of Richards Road in Antioch Sunday night. The shooting was reported shortly after 10 p.m., and officers arriving on scene found the victim wounded, with his injuries reportedly described as not life-threatening.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, as first reported by WKRN News 2. The hospital houses Middle Tennessee's only designated Level I Trauma Center for adult emergency care, according to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department are still investigating what led up to the shooting, and as of Monday morning, no arrests had been announced and no persons of interest had been named.
