Lindsey Stirling is bringing her violin, her dancers, and an aerial rig to downtown Indianapolis. The genre-blending performer's Duality: Untamed Tour touches down at Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park on August 22, with tickets ranging from $24 to $246 and the show open to all ages.
Stirling described the production as a full theatrical experience built around choreography happening both on stage and behind the scenes, according to WISH-TV. The Indianapolis stop features dancers, costumes, props, and aerial acrobatics that the station reports took months of specialized training and full-team rehearsals to pull off. Stirling has promised Indianapolis fans, in her words, a night they will not forget anytime soon.
The tour draws its name and themes from Stirling's seventh studio album, Duality, released in June 2024 through Concord Records. The record splits into an acoustic/Celtic half and a modern electronic-pop half, and features guest turns from Royal & the Serpent and Walk off the Earth. One of its tracks, “Eye of the Untold Her,” reached an audience well beyond Stirling's fanbase when U.S. Olympic gymnast Suni Lee used it for her floor routine at the 2024 Paris Games, where Lee went on to win gold and bronze medals.
A Talent Show Rejection Turned Into Motivation
Long before amphitheater tours, Stirling was famously dismissed on national television. During Season 5 of America's Got Talent in 2010, judge Piers Morgan told her she wasn't good enough to play violin while flying through the air, and Sharon Osbourne said her solo act couldn't fill a Las Vegas venue, according to a broadcast excerpt on Mjsbigblog. WISH-TV reports Stirling has called not winning the show devastating, but she now says she's grateful she didn't win, since the loss enabled her to forge her own path.
That path led her to build an independent following on YouTube rather than rely on a TV win. Her channel, Lindseystomp, launched in 2007 and has grown to more than 14.3 million subscribers and 4.4 billion cumulative video views. The digital-first strategy eventually translated into mainstream chart success: her 2014 sophomore album, Shatter Me, debuted at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and won the 2015 Billboard Music Award for Top Dance/Electronic Album.
From Ballroom Floor to Aerial Rig
Stirling's elaborate stage choreography also traces back to a reality competition she didn't win outright. She finished as runner-up on Season 25 of Dancing with the Stars in November 2017 alongside professional partner Mark Ballas, losing to actor Jordan Fisher. That run helped cement her identity as a dancer as much as a violinist, a combination now central to the aerial-heavy production coming to Indianapolis.
WISH-TV also reports that during a recent tour stop, Stirling experienced a surprise onstage violin duet with a young fan, which she said blew all of their minds. She has described using “magic” as her word for the year and says her hope for audiences is that they leave feeling powerful, like the hero of their own story.
Everwise Amphitheater's Layout and Local History
The downtown venue hosting the show has gone through several names since opening in 2004 as The Lawn at White River State Park. It became the TCU Amphitheater in 2021 before being rebranded as Everwise Amphitheater in late 2023 following Teachers Credit Union's corporate name change, according to the Indianapolis Business Journal. Everwise Credit Union now holds title rights through a partnership with Live Nation.
The venue includes a covered canopy over 2,500 reserved seats along with 3,500 lawn spots, for a maximum capacity of 6,000 spectators, per White River State Park. The steel canopy structure protecting the reserved seating from rain was added in 2021. Indianapolis concertgoers may recognize the space from other recent bookings, including Logic and G-Eazy's Endless Summer II stop earlier this year.
Openers and the Bigger Tour Picture
Alternative pop-rock act PVRIS and classical-crossover string duo ARKAI are set to open the Indianapolis show as part of Stirling's broader touring lineup for select 2026 dates. The Duality: Untamed Tour spans 32 cities across North America, launching in Richmond, Virginia, before rolling through summer amphitheater markets including Chicago, Phoenix, and Indianapolis, building on the international run that began with Duality's initial 2024 tour.
