A man is dead after a shooting Friday afternoon in a Lauderhill neighborhood, and police say they have not identified a suspect or a motive. Lauderhill police responded to a reported shooting call in the 1500 block of Northwest 33rd Avenue and found an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
According to Local 10 News, the initial dispatch call came in at approximately 1:15 p.m. Friday. As reported by CBS Miami, the wounded man was pronounced dead at Broward Health Medical Center after Lauderhill police found him suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene. Chopper 4 footage showed a pool of blood in the front driveway of a home in the neighborhood, per the same outlet.

Lauderhill police said the motive behind the shooting is currently unknown, and officials have not identified any known suspects. The station's report notes that police have not released further information about the case, and the investigation remains open and active. Friday's shooting marks the latest in a string of fatal firearm incidents that Lauderhill police have investigated in 2026. Hoodline previously reported that a man died in the 6800 block of Landings Drive in mid-July from multiple gunshot wounds, with no suspect identified in that case either. In June, Lauderhill police opened a separate homicide investigation after an unidentified man was shot dead in a driveway in the 900 block of Northwest 34th Terrace.
