Storms Build Through The Afternoon
A slight chance of showers is expected from about 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a growing chance of thunderstorms between 1 and 2 p.m. Showers and storms are likely from midafternoon into the early evening, with an overall rain chance near 60%. West-southwest winds should run around 5 to 10 mph, and rainfall totals are expected to stay below a tenth of an inch in most areas.
Storm chances continue into Sunday night, especially before 9 p.m., before tapering to a slight chance of additional showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy skies will keep the night mild, with temperatures falling to around 69 degrees. No watches or warnings are posted for the Nashville area.
Warmer Weather Returns By Midweek
Monday brings partly sunny skies and a high near 86 degrees, with another chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the afternoon. Patchy fog could develop Monday night, and Tuesday morning may start foggy before mostly sunny skies push temperatures near 90 degrees. Tuesday afternoon also carries a chance of storms.
The heat turns up more noticeably Wednesday through Saturday, with highs near 92 degrees Wednesday and about 94 degrees Thursday through Saturday. Wednesday is expected to be sunny after some early fog, while Thursday looks sunny and Friday and Saturday bring only limited afternoon storm chances. In other words, Nashville gets a stormy reset Sunday and Tuesday before summer turns the thermostat back up.
