A new Nékter Juice Bar is set to open its doors in Farragut this Friday, August 21st, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. kicking off a four-hour celebration at 112 Brooklawn St, Suite A. The grand opening runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature $5 small smoothies, free samples, exclusive swag, and free protein waffles with any $20 purchase.
According to Visit Farragut, shoppers who spend $20 during the celebration can also use a discount code, 8361grandopen, for 20% off their purchase. The juice bar is also giving away a month of free Nékter, which includes one free small smoothie every week for four weeks, along with a separate community giveaway featuring prizes from OrangeTheory Fitness, BlueRidge Yoga, OneNationHealth, Healing Hands Spa, and Absolute Health.
Where the New Shop Fits in Farragut's Retail Map
The 1,500-square-foot store sits inside Brooklawn Village, a roughly 200,000-square-foot shopping center anchored by a Kroger Marketplace, according to the Southeastern Company. The center sits directly adjacent to the newly built Biddle Farms Farragut Town Center, placing the juice bar in one of the area's busiest commercial corridors. Town of Farragut permit records show the buildout carried an estimated project valuation of $200,000, with a commercial building permit issued in February and a wall sign permit approved in March covering the store's exterior branding.
This marks Nékter's first standalone location in Farragut, though the brand is not new to Knox County. Franchisee Andrea Young brought the chain to the Bearden neighborhood of Knoxville in 2020 with a store on Kingston Pike, per Knoxville Moms. The Farragut opening comes just days after Hoodline reported on a shift away from grocery plans at another Kingston Pike shopping center, underscoring how quickly the corridor's commercial landscape continues to shift.
Why Farragut Is a Target Market
Farragut's population reached an estimated 25,549 in 2026, with a median household income of $142,093, making it one of the highest-income suburban communities in East Tennessee, according to figures compiled by World Population Review from U.S. Census Bureau data. Those demographics align with the kind of affluent suburban markets that fast-casual health and beverage chains typically target when scouting new locations.
Nékter was founded in 2010 in Santa Ana, California, by Steve and Alexis Schulze and now operates more than 210 stores across 26 states, with roughly 150 additional units in development, per the company's own account on its website. Its franchise model requires an initial investment ranging from $216,000 to $622,000, and stores have historically averaged more than $900,000 in annual gross sales, according to the Orange County Business Journal. Beyond Knox County, the chain has also expanded into Middle Tennessee suburbs including Murfreesboro, Gallatin, and Hendersonville, based on location data from ScrapeHero.
Riding a Broader Wave of Smoothie Demand
The Farragut opening also reflects a broader industry trend: the U.S. juice and smoothie bar industry is valued at $4.5 billion in 2026, having grown at an average annual rate of 4.4% since 2020, according to IBISWorld. Global demand for functional smoothie bowls specifically is projected to climb from $1.82 billion in 2025 to more than $4 billion by 2034, per research from Dataintelo, as consumers increasingly look for nutrient-dense meal replacements.
For now, Farragut residents can mark their calendars for Friday's celebration, which promises juices, bowls, and smoothies alongside the giveaways and grand-opening pricing. Whether the new shop prompts other local juice bars or fast-casual competitors to adjust their own offerings remains to be seen.
