Oakland police are asking for help identifying a man they say is wanted in connection with a burglary and assault reported on July 20. The public appeal arrived Tuesday, putting a fresh spotlight on a case that had gone without a publicly identified suspect for more than two weeks.
According to the Oakland Police Department, the incident was reported in the 1900 block of Harrington Avenue. The suspect is described as a Black male between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 6 feet tall, with facial acne or razor bumps and a beard. Police say he was wearing a black Nike hoodie with black lettering and black Air Force 1 shoes.
