Queer Eye star Bobby Berk brought his designer eye to Utah this week, unveiling a luxury home concept where natural light, indoor-outdoor flow and emotional well-being are treated as essential features. The catch is that this wellness retreat comes attached to homes carrying price tags above $3 million.
At a kickoff event for the Salt Lake City Parade of Homes, Berk introduced LivingWell, a whole-home design concept from Tri Pointe Homes. According to ABC4 Utah, the Emmy-winning television host and interior designer designed and merchandised the interior of the showcase home, describing its style as “Cotswolds rustic,” with inspiration drawn from the English countryside.
The celebrity appearance arrives as the Parade celebrates its 80th anniversary with 30 homes open for public tours. The Salt Lake Parade of Homes runs through next Saturday, with homes open from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and tickets priced at $25.
Six Luxury Homes Built Around Wellness
LivingWell anchors a collection of six estate residences at The Pavilions at Holladay Hills, set near the base of Mount Olympus. Tri Pointe Homes describes the community as a limited collection of large residences with five or six bedrooms, seven to nine bathrooms and four-bay garages, with prices anticipated in the high $3 millions.
The featured model home spans about 7,772 square feet across three stories and includes six bedrooms, nine bathrooms and a carriage home above the garage for guests or multigenerational living. The builder’s LivingWell overview highlights a private courtyard, pool and lounge areas, orchard trees, raised garden beds and flexible spaces designed to make the house feel connected to its surroundings rather than sealed off from them.
Behind the polished finishes is a broader pitch about how homes should function day to day. In its launch announcement, Tri Pointe’s announcement says LivingWell builds on the company’s LivingSmart energy-efficiency program by folding light, circulation, comfort, connection and adaptability into the architecture, interiors, landscape and building systems.
That makes Berk’s role more substantial than simply selecting throw pillows for a model home. His interiors use warm designs and natural materials, while the overall plan emphasizes restorative rooms, adaptable living areas and stronger sightlines to the outdoors—features that sound practical, even if the mortgage conversation is decidedly less relaxing.

The LivingWell model is part of the public Parade route, giving ticket holders a chance to see the home’s interiors alongside the other featured designs across the Salt Lake area. Each ticket allows entry into the Parade homes, with the event’s official schedule listing visiting hours from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
For local home shoppers, the Holladay showcase offers a look at where luxury builders believe residential design is headed: fewer isolated amenities and more attention to how a house handles light, movement, privacy, health and everyday routines.
