Chicago is starting Wednesday with partly sunny skies, and the day will stay breezy and mostly dry. East-northeast winds should run around 15 mph.
Lakefront Conditions Remain Dangerous
A Beach Hazards Statement remains in effect through Wednesday evening for Lake Michigan beaches. The National Weather Service Chicago says waves of 6 to 9 feet and dangerous currents are expected.
People should stay out of the water and avoid piers, jetties, breakwalls and other exposed shoreline structures, according to NWS Chicago. The warning is the latest update in the lakefront's rough stretch covered in Hoodline's earlier forecast.
Calmer Conditions Ahead
Thursday and Friday should bring calmer conditions, highs near 66 and at least some sunshine. Clouds or precipitation could approach late Saturday or Sunday.
