Clarksville Police Department officers are once again putting down their radios and picking up instruments for a night of music and laughs. The department has invited the public to its 2nd Annual Rock with Cops, set for Friday night, October 2, at Joker's Comedy House on Fort Campbell Boulevard, where officers will perform live on stage with live entertainment.
According to the Clarksville Police Department's Facebook post announcing the event, attendees are encouraged to bring family, friends, and coworkers for an evening that blends live music with stand-up comedy at the venue located at 2150 Fort Campbell Blvd. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the full program running from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., according to the event listing on Eventbrite, where tickets are priced at $25. The department says the event aims to support city employees and raise community participation, with tickets already on sale.
From a Big Event Hall to an Intimate Comedy Club
This year's celebration looks different from where it started. The inaugural Rock with Cops was held Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the much larger Wilma Rudolph Event Center, where the Clarksville Police Department presented a live music event alongside local food trucks, according to a Facebook post from the department. That first event charged $10 for advance tickets and $15 at the door, with free entry for children under 12. This year's move to the smaller, comedy-club setting at Joker's marks a notable shift in scale and format for the department's second go at the fundraiser.
Joker's Comedy House operates as Clarksville's dedicated comedy club, regularly hosting stand-up tours and weekly open mic nights, per Visit Clarksville. The venue's welcoming community environment makes it a fitting stage for officers looking to connect with Clarksville residents in a more intimate setting than last year's event hall.
Local Vendors and a Nonprofit Partner Round Out the Night
Mollybee's Custom Apparel is located at 643 N. Riverside Drive. The 2nd Annual Rock with Cops is also organized in partnership with the United Way of Greater Nashville, which manages a dedicated donation initiative for the program.
A Department in Transition Under New Leadership
The event arrives as Clarksville Police Department operates under new leadership. Chief Charles Tyson “Ty” Burdine leads the department.
The department has also been expanding its ranks, swearing in seven new officers in February, following an eight-officer hiring class in April 2025, as reported by ClarksvilleNow.com. New recruits train through the department's in-house Training Division. That growth mirrors the city itself: Clarksville is a rapidly growing hub shaped in part by regional development and Fort Campbell.
Community Outreach Beyond the Stage
Rock with Cops is a community-facing initiative at CPD. The department has also pursued other community outreach efforts.
The push for public engagement comes as CPD has also drawn attention this year for high-profile incidents. Whether on stage at Joker's or responding to calls across the city, the department says events like Rock with Cops are meant to strengthen the relationship between officers and the residents they serve.
