The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage were not immediately known, and it remains unclear whether anyone was injured.
According to WKRC, crews arrived to find damage to the garage and exterior of the home. A Coldwell Banker listing for one Timber Way Drive property describes it as a single-family home built in 2004 with a cul-de-sac feature and records a $320,000 sale.
A Department Already Stretched Thin
The fire lands at a time when the Delhi Township Fire Department is managing an unprecedented workload. The department responded to a record 4,531 incidents in 2025 across a service area of just over 10 square miles, according to Delhi Township, with medical emergency calls accounting for nearly 75% of that total annual volume. Separately, rising operational costs have squeezed the budget, prompting township leaders to place a 3.2-mill fire and EMS levy on the May 5, 2026, primary ballot to address a projected $1 million operating shortfall and stave off potential staffing cuts, as Hoodline reported in its levy showdown coverage.
At Station 36, three to five personnel operate Engine 36 and Medic 36.

Emergency dispatching for Delhi Township runs through the Hamilton County Communications Center, which uses the Locution automated voice system to send data and signals simultaneously, according to WVXU. The system was implemented to cut radio dispatch processing times and reduce channel congestion across the county's network of departments.
Garage fires like the one on Timber Way Drive carry particular risk because of how they tend to spread. Nationally, residential garage fires cause an estimated average of 6,600 home structure fires, 30 civilian deaths, 400 injuries, and $457 million in direct property damage annually, per USFA and NFIRS data.

Founded in 1935 to fight local grass fires, it operated as a volunteer corporation until 1986, when township trustees purchased the department to establish a full-time career fire service, according to Delhi Township's own history. The department is now led by Fire Chief Doug Campbell and operates three active stations serving the township's nearly 29,000 residents.
No official cause determination or damage estimate had been released as of Saturday morning, and fire investigators had not yet detailed whether anyone inside the home was hurt.
