Indiana's stars struggled to match that output, as Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell combined to shoot just 10-for-33 from the field and 4-for-12 from three-point range, though Clark did dish out 10 assists.
As reported by WRBI Radio, Fever head coach Stephanie White said Indiana must tighten up its transition defense after Las Vegas piled up 28 points on the break, along with 17 more from the free-throw line. Indiana is leaning on its home crowd to help erase the deficit. Per Fox 59, the Fever are calling tonight's game a Red Out, and every fan in attendance will receive a free T-shirt reading “We Don't Do Quiet,” which has served as the team's rallying mantra for its 2026 playoff run.
A pregame party is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. at Morris Bicentennial Plaza next to the fieldhouse, featuring inflatables, balloon artists and face painters, according to the same Fox 59 report. It's the kind of send-off Indianapolis hasn't needed in years, with the Fever back in the playoffs for a third straight year after ending a lengthy postseason drought and reaching the WNBA semifinals last season.
Stakes: A Win Keeps The Season Alive
The math is simple heading into tonight. The Fever must win to force a decisive Game 3, while the Aces can close out the series and advance to the semifinals with a victory in Indianapolis, the Review-Journal notes. Indiana does have some recent history on its side: the Fever won two of their three regular-season meetings against Las Vegas in 2026, according to the IndyStar.
This series is also a rematch of the 2025 WNBA semifinals, which the Aces won, the IndyStar reports.
