A 26-year-old Illinois man is facing felony charges after allegedly stabbing another man in the back in East Chicago.

Lake County prosecutors also filed charges in a separate knife-related dispute in September 2026 after an argument involving an Illinois resident led to a stabbing and an injured police officer.
