A Latin GRAMMY-winning children's musician is heading to the Music Concourse this Saturday for a free, all-ages event. Mister G will perform at the Fall 2026 Kids Fest at the Golden Gate Park Bandshell, bringing his bilingual songwriting to San Francisco families looking for a low-key weekend outing.
The family-friendly event will feature Mister G, the stage name of Ben Gundersheimer, alongside Mister G and the Music Makers and Teacher Barb, a children's music educator. Her programs include a range of musical influences and an early-childhood approach.
Mister G's own resume carries some serious weight for a kids' show. He has won a Latin GRAMMY Award and has released 14 albums of original, multicultural music, per Kids Rhythm and Rock. Before turning to family music full-time, he spent years as an elementary school teacher, and he holds a Master of Education degree from Smith College along with Berklee College of Music's first-ever songwriting scholarship, according to Berklee College of Music. His students supplied the stage name Mister G, and he used music in his lessons.

Saturday's show is part of the Illuminate LIVE series, which offers more than 125 free outdoor public performances at the Bandshell between March and mid-November 2026 and draws over 250,000 attendees annually, according to the Office of the Mayor. This marks the sixth year of Illuminate LIVE performances at the venue. Illuminate is a San Francisco nonprofit behind the concert programming, per the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department.
