A 60-year-old Oklahoma man is dead after his motorcycle slammed into the back of a semi-truck trailer on northbound Interstate 39 in Ogle County on Thursday morning, throwing him from the bike. Anthony Vick, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, died around 11 a.m. from injuries suffered in the crash near mile marker 110.
Vick was riding a 2017 Harley-Davidson Tri-Glide north on I-39 when, according to investigators, he failed to slow down as he approached a 2023 Peterbilt semi-truck and trailer driven by James Nikon of Gainesville, Florida, according to rockfordnewsfirst.com. The motorcycle struck the rear of the trailer, and Vick was ejected from the bike in the collision, the outlet reported.
