Palm Springs police are investigating after a man believed to be about 60 was found unresponsive beside an e-scooter on a sidewalk Saturday. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to WPTV.
What police know so far
Officers responded to the southeast corner of Lake Worth Road and Kirk Road after receiving a report of an unconscious person. They found an unresponsive white man near the scooter, and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue took him to a hospital, according to CBS12.
Preliminary evidence indicates the man had been riding the e-scooter before he was found, investigators said, according to WPBF 25. Police have not identified him and have reported no evidence of foul play. The circumstances and cause of death remain undetermined.
