Friday will begin rainy before shifting to showers and a chance of thunderstorms. Friday gusts are most likely in the 20–30 mph range, while stronger showers or thunderstorms could produce gusty outflow winds. The broader regional forecast calls for at least a quarter-inch of rain.
There are currently no watches, warnings or advisories posted for Portland. Still, Friday commuters should allow extra time for wet roads, and anyone with outdoor plans may want a backup option as showers and occasional thunder move through.

Conditions improve quickly Friday night, with only a slight chance of showers before 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday look dry, with highs in the mid-60s through Monday and a 5% to 10% chance of inland highs near 70.
