Seven Hills will throw open the gates of Summitview Pavilion this Saturday for its fifth annual Fall Fest, a free family event running from 1 to 5 p.m. behind City Hall. Organizers are lining up a petting zoo, hayrides, bounce houses and a lineup of Disney princesses for what Mayor Anthony D. Biasiotta has called the last hurrah of the summer.
The event, reported by Cleveland.com, grew out of the city's decision to rebrand its former Oktoberfest celebration as Fall Fest. Past editions have drawn crowds of roughly 1,000 people, according to the same report. Biasiotta said he expects the festival to be a hit again this year if the weather cooperates.
Live entertainment will come courtesy of the Brian Papesh Party Band. Balloon artist Magic Mike will also be on hand, alongside pumpkin painting, crafts and hayrides for younger attendees.
Princesses and a Petting Zoo Join the Bill
Fall Fest's special guests this year include Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent, Snow White, the Evil Queen, Tiana and Lottie, per Cleveland.com's reporting. Rounding out the animal attractions is a petting zoo supplied by the Stearns Homestead, a 48-acre working educational farm in neighboring Parma. The homestead, added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981 and operated by the Parma Area Historical Society, supplies the petting zoo.
Food trucks will fill out the afternoon, including Boys R Back Rolling Kitchen serving smash burgers and Hrochek Concessions dishing up pierogis and bratwurst, alongside Jimbo's Philly Cheesesteaks, Kona Ice and Felling Good Ice Cream. The gathering takes place at Summitview Pavilion behind City Hall. The complex also includes bocce and sand volleyball courts and hosts municipal recreational programs throughout the year, according to the City of Seven Hills.
